THE PRIMARY FUNCTION OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO PROMOTE CARDIAC SCREENING FOR TEENAGERS INVOLVED IN ATHLETICS.

STEVEN MAXWELL WILL ALSO BE ATTENDING TO PICK UP THE GLASSES COLLECTED BY THE SOS PROGRAM AND WILL ALSO PROVIDE NEW COLLECTION BOXES.

MEGAN TOLLES WAS A GUEST AT THIS MORNING'S MEETING.   MS. TOLLES IS WITH ST HELENS COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION.

THE FORMULA AND THE I PLAN WERE ALSO DISCUSSED AS WELL AS CLUB GROWTH & TRAINING PROGRAMS.

CHILDREN'S FAIR 2016 POST EVENT DISCUSSION. DIVISION 42 LT GOVERNOR CHUCK ANGELICO AND HIS WIFE BRENDA ATTENDED THE CHILDREN'S FAIR. THE FORMULA AND I PLAN FOR CLUB GROWTH AND TRAINING PROGRAMS WERE ALSO DISCUSSED.

BILL BLANK AND DAVID BONN OF COLUMBIA COUNTY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY STOPPED BY THE DAY BREAKERS TO UPDATE THE CLUB ON THE RECENT ACTIVITY.  THE GROUP WILL BE WORKING OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL WEEKENDS TO COMPLETE THE LANDSCAPING AT THE LATEST HOME AT THE SYKES ROAD LOCATION.

MS. HORA'S FOCUS IS ON WELLNESS, NUTRITION AND EXERCISE. THE GARDEN CLUB'S 8 WEEK COURSE MEETINGS ARE HELD ON EACH TUESDAY 2:15 TO 3:15.  ONE OF THE SCHOOLS INTERIOR COURTYARD GARDEN AREAS IS THE THE LOCATION FOR THE CLASS.  WE WILL UPDATE THE PROGRESS OF THIS PROJECT ON THIS SITE'S COMMUNITY ACTIVIES PAGE OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS.  DAY BREAKERS MEMBERS CHARLOTTE HART & STAN CHIOTTI WILL BE HELPING OUT THROUGH THEIR MEMBERSHIP IN THE ST HELENS GARDEN CLUB.

HELPING WITH A COMBINATION FALL PERENNIAL PLANT SALE

AND LIBRARY USED BOOK SALE.  THE PROCEEDS FROM THE

SALE WILL GO TO PROJECTS AT THE LIBRARY AND THE

CONTINUING UPKEEP OF SEVERAL LOCAL PARKS INCLUDING

TRIANGLE PARK ON COLUMBIA BLVD AND THE MCCORMICK

PARK FLOWER BEDS AS WELL AS THE VETERAN'S BLUE STAR 

MEMORIAL.  THE MCCORMICK PARK WILL BE THE LOCATION  FOR

THE 2015 VETERANS HONOR CELEBRATION.

IS PRESENTING A SPECIAL "LIVING WITH

CHRONIC ILLNESSES" CLASS FOCUSING ON

DIABETES AT THE ST HELENS SENIOR CENTER. 

THIS WILL BE THE FIRST IN A SERIES OF

INFORMATIVE CLASSES BEGINNING SEPT. NTH.

THE PROGRAM IS  6 WEEKS LONG.

 THE CLASS WILL HELP INDIVIDUALS TO

UNDERSTAND THE COMPLEXITY OF LIVING

WELL WITH THE CONDITION.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:

SANDBAGGING IN FLOODS, CALL TAKERS, TRAFFIC CONTROL AT VARIOUS EVENTS, FIRST AID BOOTH AT LOCAL FAIRS AND PREPAREDNESS FAIRS IN VERNONIA, CLATSKANIE AND COLUMBIA CITY.

DAY BREAKERS MORNING MEETING LOCATED IN THE BANQUET

ROOM OF THE VILLAGE INN.  HE DISCUSSED A VARIETY OF TOPICS.
